ALKALINE

After New World Order’s relentless aggression, I felt the need for a kind of healing; for the story to evolve into an airy, ethereal dimension. Alkaline was written from that feeling.

I stumbled upon the sound that would end up forming the core melody and was enchanted by its dreaminess. It felt like iridescent crystals reflecting light in a cave. This imagery stayed with me as I wrote the episode’s story, imagining what could have happened to give the hero’s adventure such a mystical quality.

Many iterations later, Ignis visually brought the story to life better than I could have dreamed. A true masterpiece. The movement, colors and the entire experience combined into a kind of hypnotic feeling almost impossible to put into words. It’s what I felt writing the song, and I hope you will feel it too
