Cast into the abyss, Maero awakens in a distorted echo of his world - where judgment takes form and his darkest reflection awaits.

Pripyat started with a bassline. Rawness. Weight. Aggression.
As the song unfolded, I felt a pull toward chaos and panic. The sirens, glitches, dissonance - it was never enough. And that was the point. A never-ending descent. A spiral without end.
When imagining the story, it was clear it had to be a nightmare episode - the kind of mental torture far more scarring than anything physical pain could inflict.
To bring this elemental torment to life, it was important for reality itself to be the source of Maero's torment. This is why the Erinyes - three ghostly beings akin to the Greek Fates - became the conductors of his pain. Not out of sadistic intent, but to fulfill their role: exposing Maero to his own fears, pushing him to the edge of sanity in an underworld not imagined, but fully real.
From there, the vision was set. Ignacio and I discussed it in depth - the feeling, the aesthetic, the symbolism. In the end, he captured the essence of Pripyat brilliantly, crafting an experience you leave without ever being able to catch your breath.
Welcome to the nightmare.
